This is a freelancer/independent contractor position


  • Remote work with estimated project completion date of August 1, 2024.
  • Contract-Base, Part-Time Temporary Work
  • Can work at anytime BUT must be reachable during client's office hours (9am to 3pm EST).
  • $50-$130/hr (heavily dependent on experience) paid bi-weekly or monthly (as preferred)


Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned LearnWorlds Curriculum Designer, who will play a pivotal role in finalizing our course on the LearnWorlds platform. This course is scheduled to launch in the Fall and will consist of at least two cohorts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building at least three courses on Learnworlds, possess extensive experience with the community and chat functionality of LearnWorlds, and be capable of providing trainings to our teachers, curriculum designers, and staff that are tailored to their specific needs.



Responsibilities and Duties:


1) LearnWorlds Platform Expertise:

  • Leverage your extensive experience with the LearnWorlds platform and understanding of its features, capabilities, and best practices to optimize the functionality and design of the CLTV Workshop.
  • Act as a Learnworlds expert, staying abreast of platform updates and utilizing new features to enhance the learning experience.


2) Curriculum Review and Alignment:

  • Conduct a thorough review of the existing curriculum to align it with the specific capabilities of LearnWorlds.
  • Identify areas where the curriculum can be enhanced or modified to leverage LearnWorlds features effectively.


3) Course Finalization and Launch Coordination

  • Work closely with subject matter experts to finalize the content for the CLTV course on the LearnWorlds platform.
  • Ensure that the course content is engaging, well-organized, and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to coordinate the successful launch of the workshop in the Fall.
  • Manage and oversee the launch-related activities of the two cohorts, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience on the LearnWorlds platform.


3) Interactive Learning Design:

  • Implement interactive elements, such as quizzes, discussions, and multimedia content, strategically using LearnWorlds tools.
  • Explore and incorporate platform-specific interactive features to promote engagement and active learning.


4) Assessment Integration:

  • Design assessments that integrate with LearnWorlds' assessment tools.
  • Ensure assessments are aligned with learning objectives and provide valuable insights into learner progress.


5) User Experience (UX) Enhancement:

  • Evaluate and enhance the user experience by optimizing the curriculum for LearnWorlds' user interface.
  • Propose improvements to navigation, layout, and design to create an intuitive and user-friendly learning environment.


6) Collaborative Learning Opportunities:

  • Leverage a deep understanding of the community and chat functionality of Learnworlds to identify and integrate collaborative learning features that foster peer interaction and knowledge sharing.
  • Design group activities and forums to encourage collaborative learning experiences.


7) Quality Assurance with LearnWorlds Focus:

  • Conduct rigorous testing to ensure the curriculum functions seamlessly within the LearnWorlds platform.
  • Address any technical issues or inconsistencies and ensure compatibility across devices and browsers supported by LearnWorlds.


8. Documentation and Training Materials:

  • Provide comprehensive documentation on the optimized curriculum, emphasizing the integration of LearnWorlds features.
  • Develop training materials for instructors to effectively utilize LearnWorlds functionalities within the curriculum.
  • Tailor training sessions to meet the specific needs and skill levels of each group.



Qualifications

What we need:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience and success designing curriculum on the LearnWorlds platform.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Project management skills, including adherence to deadlines, adapting to change, managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders and collaborators, and communicating project status and changes.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on writing for courses and curriculums.
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail and organization that follows company's formatting and organizational conventions.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision and still meet deadlines and respond to communications promptly.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership; initiative to proactively troubleshoot, think critically, identify potential problems, and resolve challenges.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with an ability to be highly responsive to communications and respond within 24 hours during the normal work week to communications across all platforms, including Asana, Slack, Google docs, and email.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong proficiency with technology, office, CRM, and virtual collaboration tools
  • Close collaboration with Impact Collectiveʼs subject matter experts and instructional designers is crucial for success.

This is not a position for someone new to the field. We are looking for someone with proven experience as LearnWorlds Curriculum Designer. You should be able to dive right into this position with zero training and ideas on how to improve our current layout.
